Handle Bar

We wanted to explore a perfect Friday night "let-loose" type of place to grab some drinks and food. It is very rare that we visit the West side of Singapore to any of the restaurants. We thought of heading our way to Gillman Village to have some dinner and drinks at Villa Bali - one of our most favourite restaurants.

We entered Gillman Village and noticed a lively little bar right at the entrance. Instead of heading towards Villa Bali, we entered the bar - Handle Bar. It was a completely different world once we entered the place - a small Biker Gang's Hangout. Everything in the bar represented bikes in one way or another. The bar stools had tyres as their base. Huge biker tshirts had been used as cushion covers. If you entered the toilets, you would notice guns, beer cans and many artifacts that represent bikers' hangouts. The ambiance created by the furnishing of the place was totally hip.

The beer was chill. The finger food was delicious and overall, we had a tasteful time. The restaurant menu offers a wide variety of western food - from french fries to steak. We tried Chicken Fingers and Chicken Wings (medium spicy) and it was really filling with the beer. Surprisingly, the pricing is not expensive. It is quite average and affordable. I would recommend this place for small gatherings, hang-out with friends and after-work drinks.
